1. Introduction to the MSH-SU YIN

MSH-SU YIN was formed to provide s a pathway for young budding researchers in Malaysia especially in the field of hypertension for conduct of nationwide level research activities and mentoring of early career researcher. In its inaugural meeting on 23 March 2019, a Pro-Team committed was formed as follows :

Vice President: Associate Professor Dr. Ching Siew Mooi (Universiti Putra Malaysia)
Secretary: Dr. Navin Kumar Devaraj (Universiti Putra Malaysia)

2.   The eligibility criteria of enrolling in MSH-SU YIN 

 
The eligibility criteria of enrolling in MSH-SU YIN are as following:

•    Clinicians or scientists, pharmacist, nurses, physiologist or other allied healthcare professionals
•    Less than 45 years’old but age is not an absolute criterion  
•    A member/or associate member of MSH
•    The membership duration: 2 years and renewal are required every 2 years

 

3.    Progress Of MSH-SU YIN

The progress of YIN including successful publication of a few papers in ISI indexed journals which serves as an encouragement to conduct future research under MSH-SU YIN. So far three meetings have been conducted at Sunway University that have led to many research ideas being formulated and research papers being written.

4.    Training Workshops

In response to the members request for research related workshop, Sunway University recently on 10th-11th October 2019, held a successful Research and Regression workshop that was attended by many YIN members. Future research workshops will be held in the following areas:
•    Survival analysis
•    Validation study
•    Other research related topics
